This is my first post to this list, so please excuse such a generic post any mistakes I will make. :) My name is Amanda Wehner Kennedy. I am conducting genealogical research for my father’s family. Going backwards: They settled in North Dakota, emigrated from Banat and before that it seems they migrated all over the place, including Hungary, Romania, & Germany.
My 4x great-grandparents were: Nikolaus STENGEL(b. 1779) m. Margaretha (b. 1780); and Conrad Jorda(n)
My 3x great-grandparents were: Johann MARTIN (b. 1825) & Franz/Frank STENGEL (b. 1802, Blumenthal, Banat, Hungary) m. Anna SCHUCH (b. 1805).
My 2x great-grandparents were: Johann JORDA(N) (b. 1848) m. Katharina SAILE (b. 1855) & John WEHNER I (Kathreinfeld, Banat, Hungary) m. Katherine WAHEL (b. 1848, Dorendol, Hungary) & Johann SIMON III (b. 1853, Barvaria, Germany) m. Margaret MARTIN (b. 1861) & Heinrich STENGEL (b. 1830, Blumenthal, Banat, Hungary) m. Katharina BRüGL (b. 1843, Traunau, Hungary)
My great-grandparents were: Anna JORDA(N) (b. 1876, Blumenthal, Banat, Hungary) m. Peter WEHNER (b. 1875, Kathreinfeld, Banat, Hungary) & John/Johann SIMON (b. 1881, Blumenthal, Banat, Hungary) m. Anna STENGEL (b. 1881, Blumenthal, Banat, Hungary).
My grandparents were: Frank WEHNER (b. 1913, Lefor, ND) m. Catherine SIMON (b. 1918, New England, ND).
