My greatgreatgrand... father Martin Goga was born in 1777 in Themetvar, Banat, Lower Ungary (sic) son of Yorga COKA and Marie EVE.

This is the wording of his marriage record in Nérac, France, on 23 Fructidor 12 (1804).

I've seen there are many Goga in today's Timisoara phone directory.

But is the COKA name another plausible variant (I know in hungarian Csóka is the equivalent to Kafka...)?

Anyone has access to Temesvar (Timisoara) 1777 LDS microfilms?

Thanks in advance,
