Thanks very much for the help with the Ellis Island records. I had forgotten that Transylvania was part of Hungary until 1918.

Using the Romanian White Pages, I've found three "Lupeas" (all three named "Ioan") living in my g-g-grandfather's hometown of Miercurea-Sibiu (formerly Szerdahely). Seems pretty likely that these would be distant cousins. I'd like to contact them, but I don't suppose you know of anyone who could translate a letter into Romanian for me?

Cheers,
Geoff
