Thank-you for replying to my letter last evening regarding my Grandmothers maiden name.It is the closest spelling I have gotten so far.I checked the whitepages that you forwarded and came up with a name.I suppose my only option would be to write a letter and see what happens. Do you think the name is Jewish? We always questioned it but weren't sure.I have a few more name questions if you can help me Zlatica. In the letter to my Grandmother from her brother I also saw the name "NECTEEROVICH". Mean anything? Also, to you or anyone reading this, if anyone has any information on surnames "WALLUCHUCK", "KAWULIA" (CAVEL) KAWILIA born in Zdweda village-city Saudi Guera, Ukraine, Bukovina.Apparently cousins to my Grandmother. And the name "KARPIUK"? Spelling not sure on some of those.Also...One last question. Have you ever heard of the name "OWEN" in Romania? It was my Grandfathers name. John Owen and on his Death Certificate it says he came from Romania. It never sounded Romanian to me. But, once I saw the Death Certificate I didn't question it anymore. He was born in 1894.Thank-you again so much.Marlene.
