Posted some info about Christmas tradition to your other post.

There was another person traveling from Szatmar. Karolz (Karoly) BOKA.
No name Boka or Kovtyuh in Romania's phone book.

The name BOKA, lists in Slovak Republic's phone book.
Istvan/Stefan/Steven was going to his brother-in-law Josef/Jozef Kotuk/Kotak in Philadelphia,PA. If that is a name in your family tree than this is your Istvan/Stefan/Steven and maybe you can search for this family in a census and locate some further information.

The other "Ruthenians" were Baloy, Gombita, Fedoisak.
Is it possible to locate the cemetary that they are burried in and see the headstone for a possible original spelling of a name?
