The LDS-Mormons website is showing as having a church films from Resita / Caras-Severin (asa: Resicabanya in the old Krasso-Szoreny megye. This 1910 Hungarian megye map is at http://lazarus.elte.hu/hun/maps/1910 click on Krasso-Szoreny.

The name MANCIU lists in pretty good numbers in the town of Resita and a listing in Giurgiova. Could this be the Grigorio in question.

This Eva have social security numbers? Did you request her SS-5Form? Unfortunately the price is $27 for that request.

I do not know anything about Romanian pronounciation of a Y or J but the J in Slovak language sounds like English Y. So than it is possible that it was used in the same form in your ancestor's case and the name could be something like Jurciga, Jurkiga (??).
