Mary - I am doubtful that I can be of any help to you but this is what I know: My paternal grandfather was Philip Charles Belber, born in 1902 in Philadelphia, PA. I do not know who his parents were (I have just started my search to know more about this branch of my family tree.) He had a sister named Diana, who married a man named Emil Jensen. Both of them (my grandfather and his sister) were cut off from their parents because they married outside the Jewish faith (at least that is the family legend.) I have always been told that my father's family was of Romanian origin.

If you have come across any info that might be helpful to me, I would appreciate hearing from you.

Good luck.
