- Records 99 years old or less are stored in City Hall civilian archive.

- Elder then 100 years in "National Archives"'s filials (one must first applay in Bucharest at the Central National Archives for any local resarch). You must be a relative of the person to be aproved of the "National Archives".

One can call the National Archives and negociate to send the application by fax. Ask them to send the aproved application further to the Local Filial yoa are interested (if you don't seek in Bucarest). Chech also by phone at the filial you intend doing your research the status of your application and theirs times for meeting public. You can save a lot of time do doing this.
