1828 Census

Hi Nancy;

Unlike the 1869 census of Zemplén which I mentioned earlier, the 1828 land census is merely a list of heads of household in each village (listed by house number). Thanks to Martha Conners' transcriptions of the data, it can be searched quite rapidly, as long as you know the name of the town.

Unfortunately, data from 1828 will not help to obtain information on the family members you are looking for, since they were born later. I mostly included the information to let you know that your two families seem to have a well-established history in the town.

I forwarded your information to László, and he should be contacting you soon.

Beth
