Hi Nancy,

There are numerous Gallu's and Zsabelean's from Egres on the Ellis Island database. Egres is not in the Banat, however, but presently in Slovakia (formerly ZemplÚn County, Hungary). Reform Church records from Egres are available on LDS microfilm, but I don't know what religion your ancestors were. There is also a full set of microfilmed census records (1869 Census) from ZemplÚn County, so I would try that first.
