Eberhardt and Kovago of Sankt Anna
Posted by: Oscar D. Eberhardt Date: July 19, 2001 at 20:13:40

Hello, everybody!

My name is Danny Eberhardt, and I'm searching for any living relatives of the Eberhardt/Kovago family that used to live in Sankt Anna, Romania (then Austria-Hungary). My father was Ludwig (Ludovicus) Eberhardt. His parents were Johann (Joannes) Eberhardt and Theresia Kovago (Maria Teresia Kovago, according to some documents). My father had an older brother, named Johann Eberhardt, and three sisters: Rosalia Aloisia (who apparently married a Gautier, and died in 1977), Theresia Eberhardt (who married Illes Karmonocki), and Veronika Eberhardt (who married Ludwig Nagy). The Eberhardts had a butchery or meat store in the 1930's in Sankt Anna, annexed to the house of my father's parents. Two of Theresia and Illes Karmonocki's sons died in Siberia, along with two or more of my father's previous sons.

Some surnames related to my ancestors are:

Kovago (my grandmother's)
Tomasovits (great great great grandmother's)
Gantner (great great grandmother's)
Wiesenmayer (great grandmother's)
Gruber (?)
Takats (?)
Gabei (?)
Burghardt (?)

If you have any information about any possible living relatives, please, contact me or post a message to the list. Thanks!

Danny Eberhardt
