Hi Stela-
Thank you for the response. My g-g-grandparents are Romanians who were born in what was then called Austria but the borders have changed so many times I thought to start searching in Romania. The names of the cities have also changed somewhat. It makes it difficult to search. My family were Romanian Orthodox and their lifestyle/culture was certainly typical Romanian and not Austrian. I am searching for anyone in the Balkans and also present day Chernivtsi, Ukraine(which I believe used to be called Czernowitz - which is where my family lived) that may have knowledge of these people.
