Help Finding Romanian/German Ancestors!
Posted by: Mike Melzer Date: June 14, 2001 at 20:38:40

My grandfather came from a small village named Gross Schenk in Transylvania, Romania.
He was born in 1902 with the name John Lisnezki, came over to USA in 1918 and took the name John Melzer. His father was Anton Lisnezki.
We are trying to learn all we can about our family tree and the area where he once lived.

If anyone has any links to good websites or maps, please respond.

Thanks in advance!
