My husband's ggrandmother Tillie Spitz was born in 1852 and died December 1934 on a visit home to Szatmar, Hungary, now called Satu-Mare Romania.

Tillie's father was Levy Jehuda Spitz and her mother was a Berger. We believe they were also born in Szatmar, or nearby.

Are these your Spitzes also? I can look over the written "familie history" his great-aunt did to see if any of those other towns are mentioned, though I do not recall them off the top of my head.
