Thanks for your fine description of Steierdorf. Our ancestors, Joseph Roschnafsky and Marie Brandics were born, married and emigrated from Steierdorf. Joseph's parents were Franz and Katharina (Winkler) Roschnafsky. They came to Johnstown, Pennsylvania, USA in January 1906 on the vessel Nekar, out of Bremen. Joseph later changed his last name to Roser. If those names ring a bell with anyone, would love to share info.
