Grace Jaffray is my connection: she was the daughter of George Jaffray. Grace was b 1872 in Kensington, London. George was b Skeoch Farm, Bannockburn, Stirling and was one of several siblings to move to Canada; the Jaffrays had been small farmers, smiths and nailers around Stirling for some generations.
George's photo is at http://www.flickr.com/photos/drummoyne/4878408437/ along with some others of relatives. His eldest sister Janet married John B Smith, timber merchant of Toronto; his next brother William moved to Manitoba where he farmed; the next brother was Robert of the Toronto Globe; James, the next, farmed Skeoch and is one of my great grandparents; then Margaret also remained in Scotland as is another great-grandparent (there was a cousin marriage); John died unmarried in Manitiba; Alexander became a prison bursar in Toronto and later a surveyor; George was next, then lastly Thomas also farmed in Manitoba. I have some more Jaffray info if you would like it.
I wonder if Grace met Frank through her brother Robert's business dealings?
With good wishes for the New Year
