There was an Aaron Robens born in the late 1600s (circa 1670-1680). The earliest record is when "Aaron Robens" (Spelled several ways) witnessed a deed made at Perth Amboy on 3 August 1707 regarding land located on Smith Street. A deed made 8 March 1715 links Aaron to his son Charles.
"aron Robens [sic] in trust for Charles Robens son of ye s(ai)d CIn ye County of Midd[lese]x" . This appears to be the same land which Charles sold on April 13, 1748 before moving his family (somewhere between 1750 and 1766) from Perth Amboy and Piscataway area to Beemerville area in Wantage Township, Sussex Co. N.J. where he had a very large family. Note Charles signed his name on several documents as Charles Rolison. The generations that followed spelled the last name many ways wilth Rolison, Rollison and Roloson being used often.

If you have more information on these individuals I would appreciate hearing from you.
