I am descended from the Rolison line out of Sussex, NJ. I have not crossed the pond to research the family name in England. I did, however, do some researching in Scotland when I was there a couple of years ago. Do you know if there is a direct Scottish tie to the Rolison name? My ancestors all claimed to be "Scottish-Irish" but I have no solid proof. My son and I are both Scottish bagpipers... so it causes me curiosity.
