I have started some research on my family name which for two generations in London, England has been recorded as ROLLISON. I have just come across my great grandfathers birth certificate which suggests his name was Victor Frederick Lemuel Rollason (son of Charles Rollason) born 1877 in Stourbridge Worcester, near Dudley. It was common for mispellings of this name and Rollinson appears on my grandfathers marriage cert.
I do not know of a single relative in my immediate Rollison? chain and this potential connection to Dudley and "The Black Country" as it is known is interesting. Might there be a connection? I do appear to homing in on this area of England.
