no one has posted in this list for more than a year, and i did reply to a message that was posted more than 4 years ago.. am going to try again... ...
darren and malcomb..... i have a peculiar research problem..my ggf, william tremellen, was born 29feb1836, in st erth, cornwall, uk.. he was illigitimate, and was probably handed around until he was 14, when he came to the usa to follow the mining areas. the 1841 cornwall census indicates that he was living with hugh and elizabeth rolling and their son, richard, in the st ewe parish... richard rolling worked in the tin mines, as did my william's mother, martha tremelling.... ... without getting too verbose, do you have any information about this rolling family? am thinking that perhaps hugh had a brother or sister that married one of martha tremelling's kin... you see, we didn't want a name that ended in ing or ng either altho there a many tremellings in wisconsin and idaho..... any ideas about why william was living with them. another 5-year old was also living with them-a robert giles... hope that 2005 is being good to you all... tom tremellen, ft lauderdale, florida
