Origins of Rolling?

My family is from the North East of England (Durham). But we also have a Rolling connection in Kings Lynn, Norfolk (mid to late 1800's, great grandfather -- a tailor)

We suspect the name may have originated in Germany.

The origins are vague..and more information is needed.
