I have also searched for Rolleston's on the Isle of Man with the same result. Because all the census' list his parents as English I wondered if perhaps the family was on vacation there. What I do not know is this a plausible reason for their being there? There is also the possibility that my source used erroneous information and he was not born there at all.
Do people in Northern Ireland consider themselves English?
