Ken, I might be able to help with the William lineage. My mom has her family's copy of her uncle's family tree tracings produced in 1935. He aparently was able to trace most of his lineage to one of two issues - william or james. It states in your message the youngest son of Arthur, william rolleston. the book lists this name with the same time as you have. When I get the book I will be trying to list the passages on line (some of the inscriptions may be difficult as the paper in some places is falling apart)
this is very interesting information from you! thank you for expanding my own interest in search for my matrilineal lline.

the book also has a few notations with earlier dates - a staffordshire line dating back to the 1200's. I don't know the details yet of this line.
