Thanks for responding.

I'll do some more searching of the Tennessee databases; maybe I missed something. The major problem with finding information on my great-great grandfather is that the Marion County, Kentucky courthouse was burned in 1863 by Morgan's Raiders.

I know that Solomon died in the Civil War at Laverne, Tennessee in 1863, but I don't know where he was buried, where he was born, his parents names, etc.

My great grandfather down to my father are all named James Fielding Roller and have been hanging around the Oklahoma area since the early 1900's.
