(I) claude pierre rolland (1951....)son of andre rolland(1912-88)and Senator solange-chaput rolland (1919-2001) (see web for more info)son of jean rolland(1879-1946) son of stanistlas jean-baptiste rolland(1851-1935) son of senator jean-baptiste rolland (1815-1888)(rolland paper)(brother of your ggggfather)son of (jean)pierre rolland son of jean-pierre rolland(1725-1788) (french soldier) (born in france, died in the province of quebec, canada) son of francois rolland(1698-1745)(lived and died in france).

sergent pierre rolland (1725-1788)was sergent in the first company of "les bousquets" in the "guyenne" regiment.
arrived from france in quebec with his regiment on sept.13 1759 to fight the britts. lost battle of quebec. in retreat to montreal with vaudreuil and levis(see web for history). surrendered to col amherst(britts). decomissioned from french army sept.8 1760.
first marriage (1760) to mj guertin(1741-1775) in vercheres quebec. bought land, settled down, became farmer.
secound marriage to c fagnan(1752-1785)got kidnapped, never seen again, presumed dead.
third marriage to j castonguay(1745 ?)
Jrean pierre rolland was buried in vercheres quebec on dec. 8 1788
