David, My Mom just passed I have a copy of a document my Great Grandfather wrote. Ignatious Roll was borne in Jane, 1782 in Alsos, France. He left his home in 1832 for Breman Germany. He arrived in America in Baltimore and appears to be the same year. It says his Great grandfather Grandfather (which I am assuming is Ignatious Roll) bought a farm in Zanesville, Ohio. Ignatious had three children by his first wife, Joseph Roll, who died in 1957, Jacob (someone) and died 1890, and Elizabeth Roll . He then married Magdaline Fisher and they had 7 children. George Roll (who he says was his Grandfather) was born in 1819 and died 1899. Mary Roll (whom he didn't know much about), Margred Roll who died in 1870, a pari of twins (can't figure out their names but they died of cancer). It says his grandfather died of old age. It says his grandfather had two brothers, Casper and Nicklas and they came to America. Casper moved to Canada. Nickolas returned to France nad was a Taylor by trade. It says George Roll, My father born 3/ 1819 and died 1894. Does any of this sound familiar? I would love to know more about my family including medical history. My Aunts and Uncles all died of heart disease as did my Dad at a young age. However, it appears maybe the older Roll's died of cancer.
Most of my family lives in and around Zanesville. My brother had no children so the Roll name will die when he passes and at age 46 he is not well.
