Nicole, Hi, I saw your previous post and in it you gave some info about Rolfe's who immigrated to the US, one of which was a #6 Henry Rolfe of Eng/Newbury Mass who married an Honour. I have a Henry Rolfe in my Price tree to whom I have no dates/spouse info other than he was from Newbury Mass. In a book published about John "the pilgrim" Ogden family in America, the Elizabethtown NJ Branch, William Ogden Wheeler describes my direct ancestors to be: "...Thomas Price, grandson of John Price and g-grandson of Benjamin Price one of the original associates of Elizabeth NJ. His mother was Mary ROLFE (sometimes called "Ralph"), a daughter of Joseph ROLFE, High Sheriff of Middlesex Co, and a prominent man, he was the son of John ROLFE of Cambridge Mass and Great Grandson of Henry ROLFE of Newbury, Mass..." Now I was able to trace my line back to this same Thomas Price, thru census, church and sexton records, Revolutionary war records, and of course cemetery records (Thank goodness several generations are in the same section all lined up front to back.) We also entered the DNA database, which has a perfect match to another Price (a 7th cousin of mine) that also has traced his ancestry back to this same Thomas Price. I think that the #6 HENRY ROLFE listed in your post is the g-grandfather of my Thomas Price. Do you have any suggestions on where I can find more info regarding these Rolfe's? Many of the records of Elizabethtown have been destroyed by the two church fires in the colonial times...which makes researching before then thru church records impossible. I doubt there is any connection to the John Rolfe who married Pocahontas... And does anyone reading this post have any relations to this Rolfe branch? If so please reply, Thank you for your time!
