J> 1 Sr is abbreviation for Senior not Sir
Yes of course! I have never heard anyone confuse the 2 before
& I have never seen or heard of anyone abbreviating Sir as Sr.
N> 1 Robert ROLFE, Sr,
To clear up any confusion with his son of the same name I called him a Senior.
N> ..2 Eustace=Eustacius ROLFE, Sr. (Sir)
I used both expressions here because my notes indicated that
this one was both a Senior and a Sir.
If any of the others here are Sirs, I don't know about it.
J> 2 The county is called Norfolk not Norfolkshire.
Having never lived in Britian, I am totally unfamilar with the local areas.
J> British counties to use the 'Chapman code'
I had never heard of this before
J> John Rolfe [husband of Dorothy] died 29. Nov 1592 buried 1 Dec 1594
You must have made a mistake here, because they would not have waited 2 years to bury him
... or are you saying this is because of some calendar change ?
