I apologize for not reading the zillions of postings since my last post in 1999. The above referenced book I was lusting after, but could not afford in the 1st edition 1877 printing, is now available ONLINE. FOR FREE!!! It is SO engrossing that I spent the wee hours reading nearly all of it. (Maybe ya'll already know about it...if so, please accept my most humble apologies, as I have been off the dusk to dawn genealogy habit since '99.) The link is:
