I would be grateful if amyone could find the time to write with any info on my family.
Rolfe - Knowles; Rolfe - Crooks (nee Grimes)
Rolfe - Tushingham; Rolfe - Livesey
Father christened Leo Rolfe although he was called Jack throughout his life. Born in Oldham, Lancashire in 1909 and was one of a pair of twins - I think identical twin boys. Married twice to 1) Elizabeth Tushingham and 2)Betty Livesey. He was part of a very large family (around 20 brothers and sisters) and I believe some either lived in or moved to the south London/Essex areas. My father was a boxing champion in the army. Many relatives were from the Lancashire area particularly Oldham, Ashton In Makerfield, Blackpool.
Granfather William Rolfe married Annie Crooks (nee Grimes) 1896 in Lancashire. Great Grandfather William Rolfe married Jane Knowles 1855 in Lancashire.
