I realize you posted this almost nine months ago but I just saw it and thought I could help.
Jannon Roland (or Jannon Lampley now) is my aunt on my father's side. But she's just aunt A.J. to me. I'm bi-racial. I lived in Urbana most of my life but live in Cincinnati now. I've never heard of those towns except of Newport KY.
I CAN tell you that 'Roland' is an English name. Therefore, it is nothing strange that your relatives and mine are of a different race.
This could mean we are related or it could mean that my family merely got the name from our "owners" (if you know what I mean.)
