The John Roland of the partition record apparently was unmarried. Henry W. and my John Roland were in Civil War. Henry W. went to Madison county, Ohio. I have copies of letters between his daughter Josina and Ellen Crist who married John Lane. The Lanes went to Shelby co, ILL. John was apparently injured or had disease in CW, as it mentions he is being cared for. He is briefly with Henry, and then I lose him. There are some Roland/Rowlands in Pickaway co OH, next to Fairfield co, OH. There are a large number of Roland families in Washington co OH. AND in Pennsylvania. I have so far not been able to connect Henry W. and my John to the John of the partition record. A theory is he was an uncle to Henry W. and John. Would love to know what happened to all the family, and happy birthday to the cousin. Margaret Crist Calvin in SE Ohio
