Looking for the connection between John & Henry Roland in Fairfield co Ohio to the Crist surname, or collaterals to Crist. Henry was in Civil War, and a John was in Co H of 17th OVI, which is where most of my lines served. Letters from an Archive to Barbara Ellen Crist exist. Among them two from Josina E. Roland and John E. Roland from Newport, Madison co, Oh. This is near London, OH. Josina (Joseanna in one census) married Reuben Elliot. I find one son Thomas in London. I cannot locate Henry or John. Barbara Ellen married John Lane and went to Shelby co IND. Does anyone know if Henry and possibly John also went west? I have been reading the old messages. Thanks to all of those. They help.
