Lena Rohrs, d. 1933, Bronx NY
Hi :)
OK here's the basics: My 2nd-great-grandmother's name was Lena Rohrs. She was born in July of 1864, I believe in Leipzig, Germany and died 17 February 1934 in the Bronx of pancreatic cancer. She was the widow of Owen Peter Hanson, who died in 1921.He's buried in Brooklyn, while she's interred in Mt. Hope Cemetery in Hastings-on-Hudson in Westchester County, NY. They had three surviving children to my knowledge, and lived at various times all over New York City and in Bridgeport, CT, where Owen died.
Her parents' names were Heinrich and Adelaide, maiden name Bischoff.
I can babble on for a long time :) but you get the gist...hehe
If anybody's heard of her (oh by the way she is supposed to have immigrated here in around 1878 and worked as a housemaid and a cook in Brooklyn), I would dearly love to hear from you :)This branch of my family is irritatingly fraught with mystery. Thanks!
Dan D.
