I've consulted with a German genealogist and he wasn't much help. There are lots of mountains and sheep and grape vines in southern Wurttemberg. Catherine Cedar Rohrer's brother Albert was a high ranking general but it is hard to tell which war he obtained that status. Sebastian Rohrer did return to Germany to visit after Catherine died. He took the ship Der Kaiser Wilhelm der Grosse which is a pretty nice ship. He is listed on the record of Ellis Island for that trip. He bought Swiss watches for his sons and pearls for his two daughters. I'm speculating that her family did not live to far from the Switzerland border. Mary Ann, his daughter married a Karl Fink. He was from southern Wurttemberg also. If we could find where he was from, that might help.
