A new book was published in 2013 that describes in almost a novel format the intertwined lives of Adam Rogers the mulatto, Adam Jackson (slave son of John Jackson), and the Rogers family of New London. It is very well done and extensively documented, after over a decade of exhaustive research. The title deals with Adam Jackson, but there is enough contrast with Adam the mulatto that both receive thorough analysis. Many other historical players are described and their motivations analyzed. It is entitled, " For Adam's Sake: A Family Saga in Colonial New England," by Allegra di Bonaventura. Her credentials are impressive. For anyone with an interest in these families, it is a "must read." Available for purchase online.
