Edward Longfellow Rogers of Newbury, Massachusetts
I'm looking for information for Edward Longfellow Rogers who was born in Newbury, Massachusetts some time before 1797, and married Mary D Rogers in Newbury on 25 Oct 1815.
I have the following information:
(1) Edward L Rogers & Mary Rogers, both of Newbury, filed a marriage intention on 26 Sep 1815, recorded in Newbury.
(2) Edward L Rogers & Mary Rogers, both of Newbury, filed a marriage intention on 26 Sep 1815, recorded in Newburyport.
(3) Edwards' wife, Mary Rogers was the daughter of Samuel Rogers & Mary Davis. She was born 1 May 1798 in Newbury.
(4) Edward Longfellow Rogers & Mary Rogers were married on 24 Oct 1815, recorded in the Vital Records of Newbury. The year was corrected from 1816 with information from CR2, which was the Second Church, now the First Congregational Church of West Newbury.
(5) Edward & Mary Rogers had the following 3 children who were all born in Newbury:
1.Walter Rogers; born about 1815/1816; married Elizabeth Ann Steward/Stewarton 3 Jul 1836; died in Salem on 5 May 1894 at 79 years & 10 months old; buried at Central Cemetery in Beverly.
2.Edward Longfellow Rogers Jr; born about 1825; married Mary Ann Kimball on 31 Jul 1844; died in Newbury on 23 Mar 1878 at 53 years old; buried at Byfield Cemetery
3.Mary Rogers; born 1827; died 24 Sep 1827.
Edward Jr's death records his parents as Edward Rogers & Mary Rogers both born in Newbury.
Walter's death records his parents as Edward Rogers & Mary D Bridges.
Edward Rogers Sr, died sometime before 1845.I cannot locate a death record, however his widow Mary Rogers, aged 47, married John Bridges on 30 Mar 1845 in Newbury and resided in Georgetown.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
