Hi Tina
I have searched for a Edward Rogers of this period before and somehow missed him. I found it most interesting taht he arrived on the ship "Ann", being a ship I am interested in as well as individuals named Edward Rogers born prior to mid 1600's.
IF you do find more information concerning this individual's ancestry or relatives, please, contact me. I will forward to you anything I have concerning him as well. Do you have any information as to ownership of the ship "Ann"?
What I "believe", call it a Theory, is that John Rogers, the 1st Baronet of Plymouth, is related to the early Rogers arriving in early to mid 1600's to early 1700's. These Rogers connect to my John Rogers born abt 1680 who married Isabell Orrell and lived at St. Mary's County Maryland. (Portabello) This Capt. John Rogers arrived on the Ship "The John" about 1702 at age of 22 on a Ship Owned by John Rogers the 1st Baronet of Plymouth. I believe he owned the ships The John, The Rogers and The Ann and thru him, brought over our early Rogers Ancestors. I know the least about the ship Ann.
Now, the name Edward Rogers 1st comes into the family within the early descendants of John Rogers the Martyr. I believe I know where the name originated in the family and thus is the lead that makes me believe this relates to the related branches and lineage I am working most diligently on.
I would also be interested in how you connect to this Edward Rogers who arrived 1623 aboard the ship Ann.
