I have an Ann E. Rogers who married George R. Andrews in 1836 in Lowndes Co. Al. Checking all the Rogers in Lowndes during that decade, John! seems to be the most likely father. The name is so common that I'm lost. (Most of my surnames are not so numerous) Does anyone happen to know anything about the Rogers in Lowndes in that decade that might help? I know he was buying land but those documents do not give an indication of where he came from nor of course where he went.
