Does anyone know the families ofBENJAMIN ROGERS and JOHN ROGERS who are listed in the 1800 Montgomery Co. NC Census ?Their census enumerations show :
1800 Montgomery Co. NC Census ( pg. 54 ) :

1 female age 26 - 44( Wife to Benjamin ? )
We suspect that Benjamin Rogers might be related to John Rogers. We also suspect both of them might be related to my 5th and 4th G. Grandfathers who are JAMES ROGERS Sr. ( born between 1700-1720 ) and his son JAMES ROGERS, Jr. ( born abt. 1746 NC ).
James Rogers, Jr. is simply listed as JAMES ROGERS on the 1800 Montgomery Co. NC Census. He lived along Long Creek in Montgomery as we believe so did BENJAMIN ROGERS.Some have listed this deed for a BENJAMIN ROGERS and I believe this to be same Benjamin Rogers in Montgomery Co. NC in 1800 along Long Creek, but they listed it as MECKLENBURG CO. NC ( next to Montgomery Co. NC in 1784.I suspect that this land is along Long Creek, but in MONTGOMERY CO. NC not MECKLENBURG for we see BENJAMIN ROGERS listed in the 1800 Montgomery Co. NC Census then, also near my ROGERS who did live in Montgomery Co. NC also along Long Creek.:
Genealogical Deed Abstracts:Mecklenburg Co., NC Books 10-14 by Ferguson
959 (Book 12, p. 698) 2 Nov 1784 State Grant 362 issued at Newbern, vol. 53, p. 211, at
50 shillings per 100 acres, to Benjamin Rodgers by J. Glasgow, Sec., 100 acres on
Long Creek including his own improvements and adjacent George Miller.
If anyone has information on this particular Benjamin Rogers in the 1800 Montgomery Co. NC Census who probably lived along Long Creek then, please post your information.
Thanks,
Tina Rogers Beller
