As for now, I can find no link in my lines to this one. There are some familiar names and places in this families history (Highsmith, Hill, and Eubanks.
I became interested in this family after a conversation with my grandfather (93).He has repeated several times a story of three brothers who came over to escape the Potatoe Famine. The problem with this story was that we have proof of family here (US) before then.I did a little research and found that there was more than one famine. In 1740-1741 there was a Famine.

I think we have our John Rogers in Amelia, Va. as early as 1720's, but I have seen no solid proof that this John Rogers is ours.I am starting to wonder if there is not some truth to my grandfather's story.
My line is :
John Rogers (Va,S.C.)(died 1790, Fairfield S.C.)
Henry Rogers (S.C., Ga.)
Simeon Rogers (S.C., Ga.)
Curran Rogers (Ga, Ga, Ga,)(Dr.)
Rev. Richard Wade Rogers (Ga.)(small boy during civil war)
Richard Wade Rogers II (Georgia)
Richard Wade Rogers III (Georgia, Tennessee, Georgia)
Richard Wade Rogers IV (Tennessee, Mississippi)
Richard Wade Rogers V (me, Tennessee)
One of the names in your family that caught my eye was Josiah Eubanks.. We have Eubanks in our lines too.I will see if there is a connection. There is much documneted research on the Eubanks name.
Winifred is a common name in another line of Rogers that an ancestor married into.I think they link to a N.C. family.I have not spent much time that ansestry yet as it is not my direct line.
We were neighbors to some Highsmiths in Georgia (Thomaston, Barnesville, Zebulon area) for sure, and some Hills in South Carolina I believe.
Thank you for giving me more info on this line.Sometimes, learning more about other lines of Rogers helps me in researching my own by eliminating leads.
Richard Wade Rogers, V.
