Geneve thefollowing data came from an Eleanor Edmondson, from another family branch, anda Pat Marcum who descended from Adenstones first child George, I am from his second wife's(Mary "Polly" Baker) 4th child Louisa..His first wife's name was Elizabeth Roberts. They lived on an adjoining farm to Adenstone's land.Elizabeth died in 1833 in Lee Co., VA.Her mother was Jane Roberts, daughter of old Dauswell Rogers (from the will of William Roberts).
This Adenstone would have been too young, only 10 years old when your Albert George was born... Ifollowed Louisa b.1842 thru her marriage in 1861 to a Richard Gipson, her 2 children Mary and Fip and her taking up housekeeping for my Ggfather John B Carpenter in Lincoln Co. Ky.,, 3 children resulted from that "happening".. There IS indian blood evident in my father's features,, but I am unable to determine if it came from the Rogers side or the Brackett side... Do you have anything on any indian blood? Email me direct and I'll give you a name that may well be able to answer your question
His children, from Elizabeth, were:
(1)George, b. 1824, m. ca 1843 (to Susannah Baker) d. ca. 1879
(2)Commodore, b. Apr, 1827, m. 26 Mar, 1849
(3)Mary, b. 1832, m. 9 Jul 1851
(4) Joseph (twin to Mary), b. 1832, d ca. 1845
He ended up re-marrying 10-22-1833, to Mary "Polly" Baker, actually the younger sister of Susannah, his son, George's wife. They were married in Hawkins Co., TN. He apparently took Polly and went to Kentucky, to Franklin County, with his sons when George and Commodore (Adenstone's other son) moved their families there.
Adenstone Rogers and wife, Mary, are listed in the 1850 Lee County Virginia Census with their children.
Adenstone (father) age 47, b. TN
Mary (mother) age 34, b. TN
Mary, age 18, b VA
Lucinda, age 12, b. VA
Lottie, age 11, b. VA
Louisa, age 8, b. VA<----<< my Ggrandma
Nancy, age 6, b. VA
Joseph, age 1, b. VA
