John and Peter Rogers Land Patent, 1717, Spotsylvania VA
1 Apr 1717 John Rogers and Peter Rogers (and others) were granted a land patent in Spotsylvania County VA on the middle fork of Mattapony River.Since Spotsylvania wasn't formed until 1721, this land was probably in King & Queen and Caroline counties in 1717.
Were John and Peter the sons of Giles, Sr.?
How do the following Rogers fit in?Was Henry a grandson of either John or Peter?
24 Jul 1773 - John Rogers of Fauquier Co. to Thomas Blanton of Spotsylvania Co. 100 acres in St. George Parish, Spotsylvania Co. inherited by said John Rogers from his father Henry Rogers, deceased.
Thanks,
Sandra
