Barb: I have been doing lots of research lately and I finally untangled the early Roemers. Wilhelm Roemer was my 3rd great-father, born circa 1803 in Prussia, Germany. For some unknown reason, his wife is unknown. He had three childre, A, Anna Martha born 2/25/1829 in Prussia, Germany, B, Conrad Roemer born 2/14/ 1831 inPrussia Germany and C, Christian Conrad born 6/21/1833 in Kirschosbach, Hesse Kassel, Germany, he was my g-g uncle. Conrad Roemer (1831) not Christian ,1835 , who didn't exist in my line had a son , D, Christian Roemer, born 8/12, 1861 in Orland Twp, Cook Co., Illinois. Conrad, was wed to Anna Martha Unknown ,born 9/15/1838 in Prussia, Germany. Please do not confuse her with his sister, Anna Martha. Conrad had a daughter, Elizabeth born 7/1860 in Orland,IL. She was known as Lizzie Roemer, who wed Wilhelm Breitbarth born April, 1858 in Germany. They had 3 daughters, one of them Lizzie born May ,1899 in Orland, Il. Christian (1861) was my greatgranfather. He had 2 childre, Elsie (11/13/1889) and Edward born 1890.
