I think it is possible that we could be researching the same lines. My ancestor was Taalke Jans Roelfsema, b. 7-22-1783 in Wymeer, GER.I'm not sure if the region Wymeer is should be called Niedersachsen (which means Saxony), orEast Friesland, as in some documents.Anyway, my Taalke Roelfsema was the daughter of Jan Roelfs b. 1-21-1750 in Bunde, Germany, and Rikske Dressen, b. abt. 1752 in Boender, Niewuwland, Germany, who were married 5-3-1780 in Wymeer.Jan Roelfs was the son of Roelf Jans and Daje Luikens, who were married 4-20-1749 in Bunde, GER. In case you should some time find a connection between my Taalke b. 1783 and your Simon b. 1796, this information may be of help to you.Good Luck.Maggie
