OBITUARY: The Morning Press, Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania, Wednesday, December 29, 1976
Ross D. Roeder, 80, of 573 Pfahler St., Catawissa, died Tuesday afternoon at Bloomsburg Hospital.
Born in Catawissa on Sept. 15, 1896, he was a son of the late Oscar and Mary Tyson Roeder. A U.S. Army veteran of World War I, he had retired from the streets department of Catawissa Borough about six years ago.
He was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Catawissa, and the Catawissa American Legion. His wife, the former Martha Whitenight, died approximately 10 years ago.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Donald (Ruth) Hendricks, Catawissa; four sons, Eugene, Espy; John, Catawissa; Glenn, Bloomsburg R.D.2; and Carl, Catawissa; a brother Frank, Catawissa; and 13 grandchildren.
Services will be held Friday afternoon at 2 from the Harold A. Wulfert Funeral Home, Catawissa, with the Rev. Robert F. Houser, his pastor, officiating. Burial will be made in Elan Memorial Park, Lime Ridge.
