Hi: Longshot here, but I'm also looking for LA Rowes (Roes). My g-grandmother was Clara (or Carrie or Marie Alice. . .listed as all 3 in different places), born 1880-1881, probably in Washington, St. Landry Parish, LA. Her parents were Robert Rowe (b. 1839 in Brandon, Rankin Co, MS) & Allecia L. Desessarts (varied spellings), born circa 1851 in the Washington, LA area.
There were @ least 8 kids in this family: Emily, Adam, Ambrose, Clara G (my g-grandmother), Leonard, Pearl, Prisca (possibly called Pete), Edna May. Either Emiy or Edna was called Pinky.

I'd like to have a marker placed @ his tomb, concurrent w/a family reunion. Hopefully, I'll find some relatives here!!
