Hi Jonathan
I am Lee-Ann Olivier (nee Rodwell) from South Africa, but currently living in the UK. My great grandfather, Frederick Guy Rodwell moved out to South Africa from Ipswich, Suffolk when he was just 14 (by himself). He was born on 29 October 1866 at Tower House, Ipswich and died on 1 October 1960 in Pietermaritzburg, Natal, South Africa. His mother was Mira Elise Lindsay (b.3/8/1830 in Ceylon) and his father was Hasell Rodwell (Solicitor, b.16/2/1826 at St Margarets, Ipswich). Frederick married Lily Forder in 1895. Frederick and Lily had 4 children, Marcel(b.24/4/1904), Lilette, Josephine and ??(I can find out).
Mira Lindsay's parents were: Martin George Thomas Lindsay and Harriet Annie Bull
Hasell Rodwell's parents were: William Rodwell of 'Woodlands', Ipswich and Elizabeth Ann Hunter (married 3/10/1814) in Hadleigh, Suffolk.
Marcel Rodwell married Blanche Goble and they had two sons Denham (b.12/1/1937) and Philip Guy (b.4/7/1942). My father is Philip Guy.
