Hi Kathy,
Yes it would be nice to know more about this family, since it seems that my husband has ancestries from two branches :
Louis Rodier who married Sophie Parent
and his brother
Charles Rodier who married Edwige Ruel on November 4, 1850 in St. Pie, Bagot. His daughter Malvina, born December 20, 1860, died July 7, 1944, married Isaac Berthiaume, III, in Ste. Cecile de Milton on September 11, 1883.
The two brothers Louis and Charles were children of Jean-Baptiste & Marie-Angélique Gosselin, but I haven't been able to find anything on that Gosselin family yet.
I have heard that many people from the two brothers' families went to the States (NH) and some came back.
I have little on the Ruel family, but Edwige is the daughter of Pierre Ruel & Louise Fréchette.
Another Ruel woman, Thérèse, was the step-mother of Isaac Berthiaume, II, who married a Thérèse Ménard.
I have not been able to find out whether these two Ruel women were of the same family, but they must be linked somehow.Thérèse Ruel's father was François Ruel, who married Thérèse Boucher.
You haven't given me your email address, but here is mine :

Thanks again, and if I can help you with anything in return, I will be pleased to do so.
Cheers,
Michelle
