Starting Sept. 5, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum
message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles
will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will
no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.
I tried to respond to your e-mail sent to my address, but was unsuccessful because the e-mail was noted to not be in existence any longer. However, my maiden name is Roddy and my dad and all his family, as well as my mom are all from Augusta (Woodruff County), Arkansas. My dad was born in Augusta in April 1923. His dad was William Roddy B: 1965, and my G.Granddad was Samuel Roddy. My grandpa William had a sister named America Roddy, who later married a Thomas or Thompson. I live in Florissant, Mo., but we travel to Cotton Plant, Arkansas at least 4 to 6 times a year. Would your father recollect any of these people from Augusta, Arkansas? The Roddy Plantation has always been talked about in our family, however, I understand that later it was called the Roddy Farm. I am hoping someone will be able to confirm this information.
